Scientific, Clinical & Advertising Disclaimer
The information, computational algorithms, genomics pipelines, interactive calculators, and course curricula published on OMICS.CO.IN (“Omics Portal”) are provided exclusively for academic training, scientific benchmarking, and educational research purposes. Please review the detailed disclaimers below.
1. Medical & Clinical Diagnostics Disclaimer
FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO) • NOT FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURESNo Medical Advice: OMICS.CO.IN is not a licensed healthcare provider, medical laboratory, or genetic testing service. No material published on this site—including tutorials on somatic variant interpretation, germline mutation calling (GATK / DeepVariant), ACMG/AMP variant classification guidelines, pharmacogenomics pathways, or tumor mutational burden (TMB) calculation—should be construed as medical diagnosis, clinical prognosis, or treatment recommendations.
Individual Patient Care: Patients, research participants, or family members seeking diagnostic evaluations, genetic risk assessments, or cancer genomic profiling must consult a board-certified medical geneticist, licensed genetic counselor, or attending physician. Never disregard professional clinical advice or delay seeking medical care because of information read on this website.
2. Computational Reproducibility & Algorithmic Variance
Gold-Standard NIST GIAB & SEQC2 BenchmarksWhile every pipeline, script, and command provided on OMICS.CO.IN has been cross-checked against NIST GIAB (HG001–HG007) and SEQC2 reference datasets using verified 2026 releases (GATK 4.6.1, Nextflow 24.10, Samtools 1.21, Python 3.12), computational outputs may vary based on:
- Hardware architecture (x86_64 vs. ARM64 AVX vectorization differences).
- Non-deterministic heuristic parameters in alignment (e.g., secondary aligner multi-mapping seeds) or clustering algorithms (Seurat UMAP random seeds).
- Reference genome version discrepancies (GRCh38 vs. CHM13-T2T coordinate offsets).
We strongly advise maintaining containerized execution (Apptainer / Docker) and tracking pipeline versions using Git commits.
3. Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure
Strict Separation of Commercial Ads and Editorial IndependenceOMICS.CO.IN displays third-party programmatic advertisements served by Google AdSense to support our server infrastructure and open-access mission:
- Editorial Independence: Advertisers have zero influence over our scientific curriculum, tool evaluations, benchmark rankings, or editorial guidelines.
- Clear Demarcation: All ad placements are designated with “ADVERTISEMENT” or “Sponsored” badges to ensure complete transparency.
- No Endorsement: The display of an advertisement for any commercial product, laboratory reagent, sequencing machine, or cloud platform does not represent an endorsement by OMICS.CO.IN.
4. External Scientific Databases & Third-Party APIs
Our tutorials, reference genome catalogs, and tools interface with or link to authoritative third-party public biological repositories (including the NCBI, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser, EBI, UniProt, RCSB PDB, and Zenodo). OMICS.CO.IN is not affiliated with or responsible for the uninterrupted availability, rate limits, or content policies of these external public servers.
